The Esports World Cup is a tournament series that was announced in late 2023, building off the previously established Gamers8 series. Teamfight Tactics was announced as part of the line-up on March 30, 2024.[1]

Eligibility[edit]
- A total of 16 teams will be participating in the tournament coming from four regions around the world, Americas, EMEA, APAC & China (For each region: Top 2 teams from Ranking and Top 2 teams of their respective Closed Qualifiers).
- A team's region is determined by the majority of their players, the only allowed combinations of players in terms of regions are 4-0 or 3-1, any other variation (i.e. 2-2, 2-1-1, 1-1-1-1) are not allowed.

- Group Stage: August 08th - 09th
- 4 groups of four teams in a double-elimination (GSL) format.
- All matches are Bo3
- Top 2 teams from each group advance to the Playoffs
- Playoffs: August 10th - 11th
- Single-Elimination bracket
- All matches (excl. Grand Final) are Bo3
- Grand Final is Bo5
